Background and brief
Stych, an online fashion accessories brand for children, approached us to launch their paid advertising campaigns and help drive eCommerce sales. The brief was to manage Meta and Google Ads campaigns to increase revenue, scale their brand visibility, and meet ambitious growth targets – without compromising return on ad spend.
The work
We developed a full-funnel paid strategy, combining intent-driven Google Performance Max and Search campaigns with visually-led, interest-based Meta campaigns. This included:
- Structured Google campaigns targeting different ends of the funnel, including for seasonal trends, gifting keywords, and evergreen accessory terms
- Audience development, including deep research into interests, affinities, behaviour signals and high-value lookalike seed audiences. Retargeting built around pixel depth, product engagement, and email list segments.
- Testing audiences and pushing budget into those that work well, while testing new opportunities
- A full-funnel architecture for Meta ads. From broad prospecting through to dynamic retargeting, structured into clear cold/warm/hot funnels. This ensured visibility across product lines and uncovered sleeper products that could scale.
- A/B testing ad formats, audiences, and offers to refine performance
- Blending creative flair with data-driven decisions
- Collaborative mindset building to help the client evolve from retail-focused session mindset to a cost of sale and ROAS mindset, educating on budget flow, seasonal preparation, and the long-game of consistent spend
- Weekly creative refreshes, bi-daily optimisation reviews, spend reallocation, and responsive testing built into the account rhythm
- Ongoing campaign optimisation, clear reporting, and a close working relationship built on trust with the client meant we could respond quickly to what was (and wasn’t) working.
Results
At the time of onboarding, Stych had zero paid social activity and their Google Ads campaigns were not performing to their full potential. Since then, we’ve strategically built their Meta Ads account into one of our longstanding high-performing Strong sales performance (2+ years of consistent year-on-year growth in paid sales) which has outpaced industry benchmarks, and a 4x return on their ad spend, rising to 40-70x on selected campaigns. Thanks to a combination of smart, creative, strategic paid ads and a proactive, collaborative approach, we’ve helped Stych not only hit their sales targets, but exceed them.
